Details about : ATE brake caliper cylinder and piston grease - tube - 180g

ATE grease for brake caliper cylinders and pistons (180g) is the specific reference for repairing, assembling and maintaining the mechanical components of hydraulic brake systems.
It is applied in a thin, even layer to the sliding surfaces of cylinders and pistons, and must also be applied toseals and dust caps. It prevents them from shifting in the bores when the pistons are fitted, ensuring perfect, safe assembly.
Also ideal for lubricating brake master cylinder pistons.
Its highly adhesive gel formula is fully miscible with DOT3, DOT4 and DOT5.1 brake fluids, unlike other types of grease which should not be used for this purpose.
It's best to use this special grease when refurbishing brake calipers, instead of brake fluid as is often recommended, as it also provides long-lasting protection against seizing and corrosion.

ADVANTAGES :
- Makes it easier to fit pistons into brake calipers.
- Protects seals from drying out.
