GULF Racing DOT 5. 1 brake andclutch fluid is a high-quality, 100% synthetic, polyglycol-based hydraulic fluid specially developed for the braking systems of high-performance or competition vehicles equipped withABS,ASR and/orESP. It is highly recommended for cars and motorcycles in intensive or sporty road use. It can also be used in hydraulic clutch circuits.
Thanks to its extremely high boiling point, it greatly reduces the impact of moisture absorption and delays the onset of"vapour lock", thus improving braking system reliability and safety under extreme driving conditions. It contains corrosion inhibitors to resist oxidation and the high temperatures encountered in disc brake circuits, and to provide superior protection for the metal components making up the braking parts. It exceeds the performance requirements of FMVSS 116 DOT 5.1.
WARNING: DOT 5.1 brake fluid must never be mixed with silicone-based brake fluids (DOT 5)!
