LOCTITE silicone joint compound black SI 5910 is a highly resistant, flexible, single-component siliconesealant. What makes it special? Its excellent resistance to automotive engine oils. This makes it ideal for sealing pressed sheet metal housings ( timing gear covers , differential covers, transmission housings, oil pans, etc.) where good resistance to oils is required, as well as the ability to withstand significant movement of the seal. Its thixotropic nature prevents migration or creep of the product after application to surfaces. It is suitable for gaps of up to 1mm and has a curing speed of 2.75mm per 24h. It can be used in a temperature range from -55°C to 200°C.
Compatible with metal or plastic surfaces.

Recommendations for use:

- Before applying the product under heavy loads, allow sufficient curing time (7 days minimum) to obtain the best performance.
- Excess product can be easily wiped off with a suitable solvent.
