This zinc-based CAM SHIELD paste is used to replace the assembly grease usually supplied with the camshaft. It increases the longevity of the camshaft and tappets.

Contents: 18 g (can be used on 1 to 2 engines).

Warning: not suitable for cars fitted with a catalytic converter.

This makes it ideal for sealing pressed sheet metal housings ( timing gear covers , differential covers, transmission housings, oil pans, etc.) where good resistance to oils is required, as well as the ability to withstand significant movement of the seal. Its thixotropic nature prevents migration or creep of the product after application to surfaces. It is suitable for gaps of up to 1mm and has a curing speed of 2.75mm per 24h. It can be used in a temperature range from -55°C to 200°C.

Conseils d'utilisation :
- Enlever tout ancien produit des surfaces du plan de joint.
- Nettoyer et sécher les surfaces à l'aide d'un solvant propre.
- Retirer le bouchon et enduire à l'aide du tampon applicateur.
- Si utilisé comme complément d'étanchéité : étaler uniformément le produit à la spatule sur l'une des faces du joint et le positionner sur le montage. Enduire la seconde face du joint et assembler les pièces (son séchage lent donne plus de temps à ces opérations).
- L'assemblage est opérationnel dans les 4h et le durcissement total est effectif 24h plus tard.
- Le produit peut être retirer des surfaces métalliques à l'aide d'alcool isopropylique (si le produit est sec depuis longtemps ou s'il a été soumis à des températures élevées, recouvrir le joint d'alcool et laisser le joint ramollir toute une nuit).

It offers low-pressure resistance immediately after assembly. Its thixotropic nature prevents migration or creep after application to surfaces. LOCTITE 518 has a robust polymerization, not only on active surfaces (e.g. mild steel) but also on passive surfaces such asaluminum with low copper content.
It is tolerant even to slight surface contamination by compounds such as cutting fluids, lubricants, anti-corrosion fluids, temporary protection, surfactant-containing cleaners or corrosion inhibitors. It is ideal for replacing cut gaskets or sealing a joint plane between rigid metal faces and flanges, such as a pre-formed gasket on gearbox and engine hous ings.

LOCTITE SF 7200 joint stripper is an aerosol product designed to remove cured joints and traditional joints from metal joint faces before re-applying a new joint. Its action consists in softening them in 10 to 15 minutes, thus reducing the need for intense scraping operations. This CFC-free solvent-based cleaner is suitable for most surfaces, includingaluminum and other soft metals. Once applied, it covers the joint with a foam, preventing it from running out of the desired area, while allowing it to work for the required time. Your surfaces will be perfectly clean, with a minimum of scraping and a reduced risk of damaging joint surfaces.
It can also be used to easily remove adhesives, hardened oils and greases, scale, paint and varnish deposits, etc. from joint faces and metal surfaces.

WARNING: Its use is not recommended on plastics, as this product attacks paints!

Advantages :
- CFC-free, solvent-based cleaner.
- Ideal for quickly removing old joints.
- Can be used on most surfaces (except painted).
- Minimal scraping required (highly recommended for fragile, soft materials such as aluminum, copper and bronze).
- Does not run, even on vertical surfaces.

Recommendations for use:
- Protect painted surfaces, as this product attacks paint.
- Hold the aerosol upright, about 20-30cm from the surface to be treated, and apply as thick a coat as possible.
- Leave to act for 10 to 15 minutes to soften anaerobic joints, and 30 minutes for silicone joints.
- Remove the old, softened sealant with a spatula and simply wipe or clean the surface (repeat if necessary).
- Before applying the new joint compound, clean surfaces with a suitable cleaner such as LOCTITE 7063 (order no. UB25018 separately).

LOCTITE SF 7063 degreasing cleaner is a general-purpose product for cleaning and degreasing all surfaces or mechanical parts prior to repair, assembly or bonding with LOCTITE adhesives and joint compounds. It is a CFC-free solvent-based cleaner which leaves no residues. It removes all traces of grease,oil, lubricating fluid or fine particles. Your surfaces will be perfectly cleaned before assembly.

Directions for use :

- Apply LOCTITE adhesive or joint compound immediately after drying and proceed with assembly.
