Complete Comfort Series height-adjustable threaded suspension kit with MTS TECHNIK lowering stabilizer links for BMW 3 Series E46 4 and 6-cylinder petrol or diesel engines with standard or M-Technic chassis:
- Sedan and Touring from 04/1997 to 05/2005
- Coupé and Cabriolet from 03/1998 to 08/2006
- Compact from 01/2001 to 12/2004
ATTENTION: Not suitable for M3 or xi/xd 4-wheel drive versions!
Kit includes :
- 2 front twin-tube gas-hydraulic shock absorbers, adjustable from -20mm to -70mm
- 2 rear twin-tube gas-hydraulic shock absorbers, adjustable from -20mm to -65mm
(Lowering values given as an indication with standard chassis as reference)
- 4 springs
- Stops and dust covers
- 2 stabilizer bar links for lowering
- 1 adjustment wrench
- Top mounting nuts and washers
This MTS Technik kit is assembled with main springs manufactured by EIBACH and developed in 3 versions (Street, Comfort and Sport). The springs in this Comfort Series kit have been specially designed to maintain maximum suspension comfort in all circumstances, without sacrificing roadholding.
These shock absorbers are twin-tube gas-hydraulic versions. Pressurized gas acts directly on the hydraulic fluid, eliminating the "foaming" effect of oil (an undesirable phenomenon typical of oil dampers), for maximum efficiency.
Their setting is fixed, not adjustable in hardness.
Shock absorber bodies are galvanized for corrosion resistance and longevity.
Front and rear suspension bearings are not included.
It is advisable to replace them with new ones when changing suspensions.
The bearing anchorage area on the top of the front shock absorber rods is designed for standard mounting on original bearings.
Depending on your lowering settings and the type of rims you're using, you may need to fit spacers for perfect mounting.
This kit comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
