A plastic T-connector for the fuel tank vent circuit is a component used to connect several pipes in a ventilation or vacuum system, often as part of the fuel tank vent system. This fitting distributes air or gases efficiently, ensuring proper ventilation of the tank and avoiding excessive pressures that could lead to malfunctions or leaks.
The T-connector is used to connect various fuel tank venting and venting hoses, enabling the evacuation of fuel vapors to be managed while maintaining adequate pressure inside the tank.
In a fuel tank, it's crucial that air can flow in and out to compensate for changes in fuel volume, especially as the fuel is consumed or as a result of temperature variations. The T-connector can be used to connect different ventilation or venting lines.
Before installing a new fitting, carefully disconnect existing hoses to avoid leaks or fire hazards (be sure to turn off the fuel supply and take safety precautions).
Insert the hoses into the three openings of the T-connector. Use hose clamps to ensure tight connections.
Once the fitting has been installed, check for leaks by testing with a little pressure (by gently squeezing the hoses or activating the fuel pump) to ensure that the venting system is working properly.

For 4 to 6 mm hoses
Suitable for VW Combi Split from 1957 to 1975.
