Description Product
This new column is equipped with an electric motor that assists rotational movements and is the same system that equips some modern new vehicles.
An electronic box manages the level of assistance to be provided based on the vehicle's speed and engine speed. The electrical assistance reduces when the speed increases.
In the event of an electrical failure or low battery, such as when the ignition is switched off, the "classic" steering remains fully functional: you drive in complete safety!
The steering gearbox, transfers and pivots must be in good working order. The kit does not make up for any play in the steering, the new column is connected to the steering wheel and to the original gearbox.
Important: the Kombi's tube and central column must be modified. The steering column must be cut and bevelled to be coupled to the new electric motor-column block.
This operation must be carried out by a machine operator.
Mecatechnic can take care of modifying your central column (see diagram in red). This modification can be carried out directly by Lite Steer in England. It is not including in the price of the kit. Please contact us for a quote.
No more back pain when manoeuvring your Kombi! The Lite-Steer kit, made in England, allows you turn your wheels easily, even when stopped. Try it and you buy it!
Half a day is needed to install this kit. 2-year parts guarantee.
Kit for Kombi Split with 12-Volt circuit only.
LITE-STEER kits are distributed in France exclusively by MECATECHNIC.
