- 944 phase 1 - 2.5 - 163 hp (M44.01 to 04) from 1982 to 1985
- 944 phase 2 - 2.5 - 163 hp (M44.05 to 08) from 1985 to 1986 (chassis GN)

These ventilated grooved discs leave no dirt on the pads and ensure rapid cooling.
These two factors shorten braking distance.
