Details about : EMPI type 009 electronic igniter


Complete EMPI (USA) electronnic ignition system. Beautiful reproduction of the BOSCH 009 model with centrifugal distributor system (without vacuum cell). Version equipped with a pre-installed ACCU-FIRE electronic ignition module (functions with no breaker points and no capacitor). Ideal if you are switching your original carburettor for a double carburettor. Can also replace the ignition distributor on an original engine.


The delay in the 009 ignition distributor is addressed in a detailed article in VW Tech magazine no. 80, reference VF02680.
