This SOLEX 26/35 carburetor spacer - Bakelite 8mm is made by MECATECHNIC.

This SOLEX 26/35 carburetor spacer for 2CV is machined from an old-style laminated phenolic resin that is particularly stable to heat, cold and contact with potentially corrosive liquids and oils, and will not warp.

A thermal shim isolates the carburetor from the heat generated by the manifold. Prevents deformation of the carburettor baseplate and limits the effects of vapor lock and self-combustion, preventing fuel from "boiling" in the carburettor bowl.

Requires two base gaskets (not supplied).
