Description Product
For low-capacity batteries.
Indispensable for all motorhomes with auxiliary batteries, it recharges them slowly and automatically while you're on the road, avoiding excessive flow from the alternator and the original circuit.
Starts for 3 batteries, including fridge relay. Do not connect to lithium batteries.
Base: grey or black.
Max. battery capacity: 300 Ah.
Charging current: 50A nominal, 70A instantaneous (max).
Cable cross-section: maximum 6mm² .
Overall dimensions: 120 x 59 x 35 mm, case: 89 x 60 x 35 mm.
Weight: 240 g
Product benefits:
- Protected main battery and alternator. Extended battery life.
- Permanently charged auxiliary batteries.
- Automatic, unattended operation.
- Possibility of recharging the main battery via the charger, solar panel or wind generator (practical for wintering).
12V operation without charger or alternator:
On-board applications (pumps, lighting, heating, etc.) are powered by the two batteries in parallel. When the common voltage of these two batteries reaches 12.7V ( or - 0.1V), the main battery disconnects. Consumption for the various applications will then come solely from the auxiliary battery.
The separator-coupler has 3 protected feeders:
- E1 (on auxiliary battery) protected by a 30A fuse.
- an E2 feeder (on motor battery) protected by a 15A fuse.
- an E3 feeder (on motor battery) for the absorption refrigerator, protected by a 15A fuse.
We recommend placing the coupler as close as possible to the motor battery (never on top of it), away from splashing water. Preferably use batteries of identical power /-10%. Protect each battery outlet (terminal ) with a 50A MAXIFUSE fuse (not supplied).EQ-11-44_04-2-
WARNINGThere are several ways of handling the separator coupler which could cause irreparable damage:
1) Use of a dead battery.
2) Use of a completely discharged battery (after several weeks' storage). In this case, before starting the vehicle, check that the voltage at the battery terminals is greater than 11V.
