Located between the gearbox output and the drive shaft for those in the "front" position, or between the drive shaft and the rear axle for those in the "rear" position

- 325 d M57N2 with automatic gearbox (front/rear position)
- 330 xd M57N2 since 09/07 with automatic gearbox (rear position)

- 335 i N54 (front position)

For E93 :
- 320 d N47 with manual gearbox (front/rear position)
- 325 d M57N2 with automatic gearbox (front/rear position)
