Can not you pass certain speed because you have problems with your shift lever?
The rings and bushings of your gearbox linkage are surely tired.

This kit for VW Golf 2 and Jetta 2 includes:
- renovation kit reference: GS00130
- the guide ring at the level of the fixing lever: GS00170
- lever locking tool, necessary for its proper fit: UO70570

It is compatible with engines 1.6 and 1.8 with 4 or 5 gearbox with linkage (control by tie rods)

La Volkswagen Golf 1 est une voiture fiable qui a su traverser les décennies.

Elle n'est pourtant pas sans défauts, la commande de boite, appelée tringlerie de boite est l'un d'entre-eux. Les diverses bagues s'usent et partent en morceaux, il est alors difficile de passer les rapports, on a l'impression d'avoir un levier de vitesses qui patauge dans la semoule.

Ce kit comprend l'articulation à rotule ainsi que le ressort du bas de levier de vitesses, la bague de guidage de la tige partant du levier vers la boite et divers joints et coussinets.

Reinforced two-part model
This product is sturdier but is notably much easier to assemble than the original model which is very fiddly to install.
This gearbox control also has less play compared to the original model, so gear changes are more precision.
Product developed in Germany and comes with installation instructions in English
